WIN A RAM PICKUP TRUCK WITH SHANNONS

Shannons have launched a competition where you can win “Two American Legends” - a RAM 1500 Express pickup truck and an Indian Scout Bobber Twenty motorcycle.

As well as both vehicles, if the winner is a Shannons Club member, they’ll also receive $5,000 cash for a total prize pool valued at $113,000.

The RAM 1500 Express up for grabs is the five-seat Quad Cab version that offers more tub length - 6’4” (1939mm) - than the Crew Cab’s 5’7” (1712mm) and a 1295mm between-the-arches width, so it’ll take a full size pallet. A superior 845kg payload capacity is complemented by best-in-class towing capacity of a massive 4.5 tonnes.

Power comes from a mighty 5.7-litre Hemi V8 producing 291kW and 556Nm, connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission and driving all four wheels through a part-time 4WD system with low range.

Colour-coded exterior trim, 20-inch alloys, fog lamps, rear parking sensors and Park Assist, Uconnect 3 infotainment system with a 5.0-inch centre console touchscreen and a hard-wearing interior are all on the standard spec list. And, of course, there’s that unmistakable RAM big truck styling.

Valued in excess of $80,000 drive away, the RAM on offer will come with 12-months Shannons insurance and 12-months Shannons Roadside Assist for the winner

The Indian Scout in the prize pool is the latest Bobber Twenty, defined by stripped-down bobber styling, a solo saddle, mini-ape hanger ‘bars and chunky tyres on old-school 16-inch wheels. Power comes from a 69ci (1133cc) liquid-cooled v-twin producing 97Nm of torque. A six-speed transmission, 298mm disc brakes, 12.5-litre fuel tank and low 695mm seat height are also on the spec list.

Finished in Thunder Black Smoke and valued at $21,495 ride away, the 12-months’ Shannons insurance and roadside assist package also applies to the Scout.
