Volkswagen release Amarok accessories range
Volkswagen has launched a range of accessories to suit the all-new Amarok dual cab ute. Covering suspension lift kits, underbody protection, nudge bars and snorkels, as well as canopies, a rooftop tent, tonneaus and more, the accessories have arrived in response to numerous customer requests.
When fitted at a Volkswagen dealership network, all accessories in the new range come with a five-year, unlimited kilometre warranty.
“Every accessory has been designed with customer lifestyles in mind, and that includes the seamlessness of their purchase, their ability to buy accessories or finance them from the dealership as part of buying their Amarok,” said Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles director, Ryan Davies.
“From off-road lift kits to roof-top camping tents, to an Australian-designed integrated canopy, every Volkswagen accessory gets a factory backed five-year, unlimited kilometre warranty for the ultimate in quality and resale.”
Amarok Off-Road Expedition Range
Leading the expedition range are front and rear suspension lift kits that raise the Amarok by 40mm. Two different front suspension kits are available (to suit different engine and transmission combinations), priced at $1,515 each, while the rear lift kit is available in standard ($2,315) or 300kg constant loading form ($2,510).
Underbody protection ($1,660) is manufactured from UV stabilised crosslink polymer for extreme durability. Specifically designed to suit the Amarok, this underbody bash plate is identified with the Amarok insignia.
A nudge bar ($1,600) also comes with Amarok identification and features an integrated LED light bar. This subtle-looking bar is available in silver or black.
A snorkel ($1,180) to suit Amarok TDI600 variants features a reversable air ram to prevent snow, dust and water ingress. This also comes with Amarok insignia (on both the lower section and air ram) and is styled to suit the vehicle’s side profile.
Wheelarch flares in matte black ($1,640) allow Amarok owners to go for a wider wheel and tyre package. Complementary matte-black body side mouldings for all four doors ($1,075) are available, too.
Recovery boards ($350) and a snatch strap recovery bag set ($225) are also available in this range.

Amarok Canopy Range
Styled by the same Australian-based designers who worked on the exterior of the Amarok, the accessory canopy range gives the ute an ‘SUV look,’ with a range of colours available to match the exterior.
Three design options – twin sliding side windows ($5,550), a left sliding window and rear swing-up window ($5,730) or twin swinging side windows ($6,100) – are available, all featuring an innovative twin-shell design that works with the Amarok’s remote central locking and features push-button opening for the rear hatch and side windows. Other features include tinted side and rear glass, a pop-up air vent and Amarok branding.
These canopies are designed to suit electric, manual or soft tonneau covers. An internal drawer system ($3,995) and cargo slide ($3,045) are available, along with a compatible Amarok tool box ($965) and fridge slide ($780).
The canopy design allows for roof racks or camping equipment to be fitted, so Volkswagen have offerings here, too. A selection of roof bars are available (from $465-605 depending on overhang), along with a platform mount ($1,440) and Amarok-branded two-person roof top tent ($3,345).

Amarok Tonneau Range
The Amarok Aventura already features an electric rollcover in silver, but for other grades, there’s an accessory electric-powered hard tonneau (rollcover in VW speak) in a powder-coated black finish ($4,690).
A manual rollcover in aluminium or black finish ($4,255), soft tonneau cover (from $1,145) and modular bedliner ($865 for Core, Life and Style grades) are also available.
A sports bar in stainless steel or black matte ($2,810) is available for Core, Life and Style grades and is compatible with tonneau options.
An additional accessory switch bank kit ($1,025) completes the launch range, but auxiliary battery kits (including portable dual battery system) and towing mirrors are coming, with their arrival expected before the end of this year.
