Suzuki announce Jimny Heritage Edition
Suzuki Australia has launched a special ‘Heritage’ limited-edition of the Jimny 4x4, celebrating the model’s history that stretches back to the 1970s.

Announced on 2 March, the Jimny Heritage is based on the upper-level Jimny GLX grade and will be available in a choice of four colours – Jungle Green, White, Bluish Black and Medium Grey – all with retro-style decals and bodyside striping in orange and red.
NOTE: At time of writing, Bluish Black had already sold out.
Other features include red mud flaps front and rear (with Suzuki branding on the rears), an embossed Heritage cargo tray, special badging and an exclusive ‘Jimny Heritage pack’.

There are no changes to the Jimny’s AllGrip Pro four-wheel drive system with low range, or the 75kW/130Nm 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine, but it should be noted the Heritage limited-edition will only be available with a five-speed manual transmission and not the four-speed auto that’s offered on the regular Jimny.

Suzuki Australia General Manager, Michael Pachota said the Jimny Heritage will be limited to 300 units nationally: “Strictly 300 units in total of this retro legend will be available. These vehicles will sell out quickly. With swift delivery to follow, I encourage all serious buyers to jump in fast.”

Pricing for the Jimny Heritage starts at $31,490 (+ ORCs), which is on a par with the GLX manual. The GLX auto remains the most expensive Jimny variant currently offered, at $33,490 + ORCs, but auto sales were paused in January due to local demand outstripping supply. The Heritage may be seen as a way to keep sales ticking over until the Jimny GLX auto returns.

Australian deliveries of the Jimny Heritage limited-edition will commence in April, subject to the existing queuing process applicable to all Jimny deliveries here.
