Pricing, specs revealed for new Nissan X-Trail
Ahead of its local release later this year, Nissan Australia has announced initial details of the 2023 X-Trail. Described as Nissan’s most advanced SUV to date, the next-generation X-Trail features an all-new platform, refined interior, more standard safety features and improvements in power and torque.

Four familiar model grades will be offered – ST, ST-L, Ti and Ti-L - along with front- and all-wheel drive options, while a hybrid will be added in the future.
Full details will be announced closer to local release, but notable improvements include a 500kg increase in towing capacity to 2000kg thanks to the mid-size SUV’s new CMF-C platform, while the 2.5-litre petrol engine that powers the bulk of the X-Trail range delivers 9kW more power and 18Nm more torque for new maximums of 135kW and 244Nm.

On AWD-equipped X-Trails, a new, multi-mode system offers three drive modes – Eco, Standard and Sport – linked to five traction modes to suit a range of surface conditions.
In the luggage area, adjustable boards allow for up to 16 different storage configurations, with hidden storage for valuables, too.
Safety improvements include rear cross traffic alert, AEB with cyclist and pedestrian detection, intelligent lane keeping and blind spot warning and intervention, all as standard range-wide.

Of the new X-Trail grades, the entry-level ST’s standard features include 17-inch alloys, LED lighting, roof rails, a reversing camera and rear parking sensors, 8.0-inch infotainment screen with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto and four USB ports.
The ST-L takes these specs and ups the wheel size to 18 inches, adds privacy glass, foglamps, front parking sensors, a 360-degree camera, tyre pressure monitoring, heated front seats and dual-zone climate control. More importantly, the ST-L adds Nissan’s semi-autonomous ProPILOT driver-assist system with Lane Keep Assist.

Stepping up to the Ti means 19-inch alloys, a panoramic sunroof, adaptive headlights, power tailgate, a smart internal mirror, tri-zone climate control, leather-accented seats, wireless charging, head-up display, 12.3-inch touchscreen and 12.3-inch digital instrument display.
On the premium Ti-L, all the Ti features are augmented with a hands-free tailgate, full leather seating, heated steering wheel, remote starting, a Bose 10-speaker sound system and more.

List pricing for the all-new X-Trail starts at $36,750 for the X-Trail ST 2WD ($39,790 with AWD and 7 seats), rising to $52,990 for the Ti-L. The ST and ST-L available in 5- and 7-seat form, and with 2WD or AWD, while the Ti and Ti-L are 7-seat AWD only.
More details will be announced closer to local release.
