Premcar build 5000th Navara Warrior
Premcar, the Victorian-based company behind the Nissan Navara Warrior programme (and the upcoming Nissan Patrol Warrior) has built their 5,000th vehicle, with the milestone reached less than four years after the collaboration with Nissan began.

The 5,000th vehicle was a Nissan Navara PRO-4X Warrior by Premcar, which was completed at the company’s Epping-based engineering and production centre on Thursday, 6 April, 2023.
“Car number 5,000 means a lot to the Premcar team,” said Bernie Quinn, Engineering Director at Premcar. “In very short time, the Warrior program has grown from the original Navara N-Trek Warrior to the current PRO-4X Warrior and SL Warrior model variants.
“And with the Nissan Patrol Warrior’s development program in full swing, we can’t wait to add it to our local new-vehicle assembly lines and seeing it in Nissan showrooms across the country.”

A success for both Nissan and Premcar since the launch of the Navara-based N-Trek Warrior, the Warrior by Premcar series takes selected model variants from Nissan’s new-vehicle range, then re-engineers them, adding more off-road capability to suit Australia’s demanding driving conditions.
Both the PRO-4X and SL Warriors are based on dual-cab 4x4 Navara utes, which are shipped from Nissan’s overseas assembly plants to Premcar’s production facility for secondary new-vehicle manufacturing. The completed vehicles then go on to Nissan’s national dealer network.
Premcar’s involvement with Nissan follows similar work done for the likes of Toyota, Mazda and Ford, and includes the fitting of Australian-engineered components, which have been designed in-house, too.

Following the Navara N-Trek Warrior by Premcar that was released at the end of 2019, the award-winning Navara PRO-4X Warrior by Premcar was added in mid-2021, with the Navara SL Warrior by Premcar available from August, 2022.
A Warrior variant of the Y62-series Patrol is currently undergoing re-engineering and manufacturing development to suit Australian conditions, with manufacturing and assembly due to get underway later this year.
