Narva Ultima 225 Driving Lights

The new range is the result of more than three years research and development by Narva and leading Swedish automotive design and lighting experts. Strong Narva input has ensured the demanding environmental conditions experienced by drivers in this market were fully factored into the lamp design. Incorporating all the elements of the existing 'Ultima' range, the all new design puts these lamps amongst the world's best for both style and performance.

The new Narva Ultima 225 program includes standard Halogen, Halogen Blue plus Xenon High Intensity Discharge (H.I.D) lighting in both 12 and 24 Volt featuring the latest D1 globes and Generation 5 ballasts. The lamps come with Free Form reflector technology, glare shields to screen stray light, virtually unbreakable polycarbonate lenses plus polycarbonate lens covers to provide additional protection. Of critical importance to off road and heavy transport users is the robust construction of the proven Ultima rotary cup mounting system in overcoming vibration and frequency problems.

The use of German made D1 globes and Gen 5 Ballasts in the H.I.D lamps delivers instant ignition and eliminates the slow start common with current H.I.D lighting. Each lamp comes pre-wired with waterproof connectors and all kits feature a convenient user friendly plug and play wiring loom making installation a breeze for the DIY handyman. Narva driving lamps have been well proven by past winners of demanding 4WD events such as the Outback Challenge and Malaysian Rainforest Challenge in conditions that can only be described as severe. The new Ultima 225 lamps now benefit from this vast experience with an even more solid construction and a light performance to punish the best available. Pencil and broad beam light patterns are available in all versions plus combination sets.

Toyota 200 Series dual battery kit
In one of the most exciting challenges to face Piranha Off Road Products to date, the team has manufactured a dual battery kit to suit the Toyota 200 Series V8 diesel. Toyota have slotted a V8 diesel neatly into the engine bay of the 200 Series, how-ever it hasn't left a lot of room to fit a dual battery system. Piranha has devised a way of fitting a 10 inch battery into the passenger side rear corner of the engine bay.

Piranha's new battery tray is manufactured from 3mm plated steel to handle the rigours of off-road travel The kit includes a 10-inch fully sealed battery, either Optima or Orbital, with advantages including a very high CCA (Cold Cranking Amps) rating. Both the Optima and Orbital batteries can be charged fully within an hour of driving and are totally maintenance free. Also included in the kit is a DBE management system and fuse box. The fitting of this kit requires relocating several under bonnet components therefore Piranha recommend the kit installation be handled by a Piranha dealer.

The component pricing for the 200 Series V8 diesel kits are as follows: The tray for $170.00, either a DBE 150 management system for $290 or the DBE 180 for $330 and a choice of either an Optima battery at $415 or an Orbital at $375. The fitting job takes approximately three to four hours to complete. Expect to pay around $950.00 for a kit to be supplied including an 8-way fuse box and sockets in the rear of the cargo area to run a fridge or auxiliary light, plus fitting as quoted by the dealer.

200 Series Petrol Version
Piranha has also developed a 10 inch dual battery kit for Toyota 200 Series petrol engine owners. The battery tray is cheaper than the diesel variant at $140 and is easier to fit than the diesel variant. All the other prices are similar so expect to pay around $900.00 to get a full kit plus fitting. One good thing for 200 Series petrol owners is that the kit can be fitted more easily in the petrol version.
