Standard equipment includes electronic stability program, electronic traction system brake assist and electronic brake proportioning. An innovative feature of the ML 320 is the use of a traction control to prevent wheel spin of the permanent four-wheel drive system. When slip is detected the 4-ETS traction system automatically brakes the spinning wheels and transfers power to those with traction.

There are dual front airbags as well as driver and front passenger door airbags ensuring maximum protection in the event of an impact. Even a first aid kit comes as standard issue with the ML 320. The ML 320 comes with independent front and rear suspension for excellent handling and ride. The interior finish is high and equipment levels are comprehensive. Standard equipment includes air conditioning, power windows and mirrors, cruise control, tilt adjust steering column, delayed fadeout courtesy lights, illuminated visor vanity mirrors, central locking, leather upholstery, heated seats and factory fitted alloy wheels.
