Land Rover announces 75th Limited Edition Defender
Land Rover will mark 75 years since the introduction of the original Series I with the release of a Defender ‘75th Limited Edition’. Due to arrive early next year as a 2023 model, the 75th Limited Edition will be available in 90 and 110 body styles, with a limited number of each allocated to Australia.

“Since revealing the new Defender, customers around the globe have fallen in love with it and demand remains extremely strong,” said Stuart Frith, Lifecycle Chief Engineer Defender.
“This new Limited Edition captures the spirit of the past 75 years, with its colour and detailing, and fuses it with innovations, Configurable Terrain Response, software over the air updates and unrivalled all-terrain capability.”

Based on the high-spec Defender HSE, the 75th Limited Edition is defined by an exclusive Grasmere Green paint that’s inspired by a finish available on the original Land Rover Series I. Twenty-inch alloy wheels are standard, finished in the same shade of green, as are the door handles, with contrasting black for the front guard vents, mirror caps, antenna and checkerplate panels.
Other exterior design details setting the limited edition apart from the standard Defender 90 and 110 include bumpers in Ceres Silver, a ‘75 Years’ decal and privacy glass.

Inside, the ‘cross car beam’ on the dash is finished in brushed Grasmere Green powder coat with laser-etched detailing.
Seats are finished in Resist Ebony, with the distinctive centre console ‘hockey stick’ elements trimmed in Robustec material.

Standard tech and safety features carried over from the HSE includes a 3D surround camera, Configurable Terrain Response, Meridian sound system, Matrix LED front lighting, an 11.4-inch Pivi Pro infotainment system, head-up display and wireless charging pad.
A tow bar and sliding panoramic roof will be standard on all 75th Limited Edition units, as will 14-way driver and front passenger heated and powered seats with memory function, a heated steering wheel and three-zone climate control air conditioning.

Powertrain for all Defender 75th Limited Editions delivered to Australia will be Land Rover’s ‘P400’ 3.0-litre Ingenium petrol six-cylinder engine that produces 294kW and utilises Mild Hybrid Electric Vehicle technology to optimise power delivery and fuel economy by harnessing energy normally lost under deceleration and braking.

Coinciding with the release of the Defender 75th Limited Edition, Land Rover will also offer a range of related lifestyle goods, including clothing, a backpack, watch and toys.
Just 75 examples of the Defender 75th Limited Edition will be available in Australia - 25 units of the Defender 90 and 50 of the Defender 110 - with deliveries expected in April, 2023.

Local pricing starts at a recommended $152,077 plus on-road costs for the 90 P400, and $156,157 plus on-road costs for the 110 P400.
