Liberty 1 also includes a one piece moulded shower, front loader washing machine, cassette toilet, an inner spring mattress, measuring 5 feet by 6.6 feet long as well as surround sound television, DVD, and CD player complete with fully adjustable wind up TV antenna.
The bedroom comes complete with his and her wardrobes and two dressing tables with ample storage space for personal items and accessories. The creation of Gary Kratzmann (Kratzmann's Caravans) and Wayne Barrett (Classic RTM), Liberty 1 has left no stone unturned with two years of development and an emphasis on quality manufacture. Resin Transfer Moulding (RTM) has been used in the construction of luxury offshore yachts and powerboats before, however the technology has never been used in the building of caravans, until now.
"The process on constructing the Liberty 1 is more refined than your conventional caravan, the bottom half including the chassis which has a world-wide patent, is made first using the composite injection moulded technique" explained Classic RTM's Wayne Barrett. "All the furniture and interior components including appliances are installed before the top half of the van (manufactured using the same technique as the lower half) slips over the top and a bonding technique is used to produce one moulded mass known as a monocoque", explained Barrett. The injection RTM process used to build the Liberty 1 means any repairs to all the vans structural components can be carried out by a standard fibreglass body repairer or panel beater.
