Jeep supports Empty Esky
The fires that claimed the homes and businesses of thousands of families, compounded by the COVID-19 pandemic, led Eleanor Baillieu and Erin Boutros to found Empty Esky earlier this year.
The initiative promotes a simple and effective way for Aussies to help rebuild our fire-affected regions: travelling to those communities and ‘filling an empty esky’ with local produce and goods from small businesses.

Travellers can plan their trip by downloading a pre-prepared itinerary, or by creating their own route, via the interactive map on the Empty Esky website.
This past June, Jeep Australia announced their involvement in the initiative, supporting the development of the website to make it easier for interested travellers and road trippers to get involved.
Empty Esky’s Baillieu said the support from Jeep Australia will help travellers and businesses alike.
“We are incredibly excited to be working with Jeep. There’s no better partner to encourage Australia’s sense of adventure and get people on the road to lend a helping hand by filling their esky. From Jervis Bay to Kangaroo Island, there’s an Empty Esky adventure for everyone.
“Thousands of Australians have already taken the pledge to go on an Empty Esky adventure and now with the website improvements, all 500 businesses registered on the Empty Esky website will be easily identified. Travellers will be able to build itineraries across all the states, ranging in length.”
Jeep Australia Managing Director, Kevin Flynn, said he was proud to partner with such an important, local cause.
“Empty Esky is an impressive initiative that encourages Australians to create their own home-grown adventure in whatever you drive – something that Jeep has always inspired owners to do.
“Together with Empty Esky, we hope all Australians will join us by hitting the road and discovering some of the country’s most celebrated regions. To be able to give back to those affected communities through the adventure of a road trip is certainly a wonderful opportunity.”
