Jeep Grand Cherokee updated for 2020
Defined by blackout body treatment, exclusive 20-inch black alloys and premium exterior finishes, the Night Eagle also offers premium black leather seats, keyless entry/starting and FCA’s Uconnect 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system with sat nav. For 2020, the regular production Night Eagle gains more standard safety tech, including auto high beam headlights, Advanced Brake Assist, Forward Collision Warning Plus and Lane Departure Warning Plus.
Available with both the 213kW/347Nm 3.6-litre petrol V6 and 184kW/570Nm 3.0-litre turbo diesel V6 (combined with an eight-speed auto and Quadra-Trac II 4WD system in both cases), the Night Eagle is the new entry-level model in the MY20 Grand Cherokee range, sitting below the Limited, S-Limited, Trailhawk, Overland, Summit, SRT and Trackhawk.

Other notable changes and upgrades include a 3.0-litre V6 turbo diesel engine option for the S-Limited that was previously only available with the 259kW/520Nm 5.7-litre Hemi V8 petrol engine. The Limited loses the 3.0 t/d V6 engine option for 2020 and is now only available with the 3.6 petrol V6.
Safety tech and comfort features on the Limited and S-Limited, like Blind Spot Monitoring, Rear Cross Path Detection, Adaptive Cruise Control, Parallel and Perpendicular Park Assist, a power tailgate, radio/mirror/driver’s seat memory function and a 9-speaker Alpine sound system, are unchanged for 2020, but the S-Limited does gain rear load levelling suspension and a 220amp alternator.
All other Grand Cherokee model grades are unchanged for 2020.
Pricing has risen for all grades, starting at $59,950 for the Night Eagle with its new standard safety tech and rising to $134,950 for the 522kW/868Nm supercharged 6.2-litre Hemi V8 Trackhawk (all prices exclude ORCs).
