GWM launch “new energy” vehicles at Auto Shanghai 2023
Great Wall Motors used the 20th Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition ("Auto Shanghai 2023) this April to unveil a range of new hybrid and EV models across their five major brands - Haval, Tank, Ora, Poer, and Wey.

In front of 300 GWM distributors and invited members of the media from more than 60 countries at Auto Shanghai 2023, Parker Shi, Vice President and the Head of International Market for GWM, announced that the Chinese carmaker’s transformation to “new energy” is in full swing, evidenced by the unveiling of 15 new energy vehicles.

From Haval, an “all-new star product lineup” included the world premiere of a new SUV, dubbed ‘Fierce Dragon MAX’ for the Chinese market, that’s the first Haval equipped with a Hi4 (Hybrid Intelligent 4WD) drivetrain and also introduces a fresh design to create what GWM calls a younger and more futuristic product image.
From Poer, a new 6x6 version of the large dual-cab ute was launched, together with the equally large high-performance Shanhai PHEV/HEV, which is a hybrid pickup “committed to providing the best solutions for new energy pickups”.

From Tank, the mid-size Tank 400 PHEV made its world debut alongside the Tank 500 PHEV, a medium-to-large luxury new energy SUV that GWM says will be sold worldwide. Additionally, Tank presented demonstrations of off-road new energy technology and product reliability, in the form of "real scene + virtual interaction".
Wey, focusing on "zero anxiety intelligent electric" category, released its first MPV, the Wey Gaoshan PHEV, as well as the Lanshan PHEV six-seat SUV, while GWM’s Ora brand released two pure electric models.

Beyond the new vehicles, GWM also displayed the significant technologies underpinning these vehicles, such as a 3.0T V6 engine + 9HAT+P2 platform, the Hi4 hybrid drivetrain, Tank platform and 6×6 super off-road platform.
Parker Shi added: "Based on GWM Intelligent NEV's philosophy 'Greener, Higher, and Safer', GWM will rely on the forest ecosystem to accelerate technology iteration and product upgrading and provide global users with more high-quality and intelligent new-energy products."
