2012 Nissan Navara RX dual cab chassis

A step up from the D22 Series it replaced, the Navara D40 Series offered improved trim and equipment across the board. Moving through the model grades, from base DX (D22), through RX, ST and ST-R to ST-X, spec levels increased, with more kit as standard.
The RX was the bread and butter of the D40 Series Navara in 2012, with the example on offer being a dual cab chassis that comes fitted with an aftermarket aluminium dropside tray, bullbar, snorkel and aftermarket wheels.
The engine in this unit is the standard 2.5-litre turbodiesel four-cylinder, putting out 126kW and 403Nm, with listed economy of 9.8lt/100km (combined cycle) and an 80-litre fuel tank for a claimed range of 816km. Transmission is a six-speed manual with full-time four-wheel drive and a two-speed transfer case.
Power mirrors and 16-inch steel wheels were standard on Navara RX dual cabs when new, but as mentioned, aftermarket rims (Sunraysia-style) have been fitted to this one.
The interior appears completely stock, which for the Navara RX’s entry-level spec, includes vinyl flooring, cloth seats and a 2-speaker stereo with CD player. The RX wasn’t completely spartan, though, with power windows, bottle and cup holders in both rows of seats and central locking. There’s some obvious wear around the driver’s seat area, but the front passenger seat presents well and the rear seats look like they’ve barely been used.
Safety features include ABS, ESC, EBD, Traction Control and driver/front passenger airbags.
Standard measures for a Navara dual cab chassis like this include a 3200mm wheelbase, 1570m front and rear track, 1754kg kerb weight and braked towing capacity of 3000kg. Despite the add-ons that have been fitted to this example, towing capacity is unlikely to be different to factory spec.
At time of writing, this Navara had an odometer reading of 221,896km and the asking price was $14,990 + ORCs.
