2012 Ssangyong Actyon Sports Ute Range
The diesel engine provides maximum torque of 360Nm in the 1500-2800rpm range. This is 50Nm more than the previous model and confirms the Actyon Sports Ute as one of the most powerful in its class. The six-speed automatic transmission is optimally tuned for the high-performance engine. At 190Nm low-end torque provides excellent performance when power is needed.
The new 2.0-Litre turbo diesel engine with direct injection puts out 114kw, a 14kw increase on the previous model, giving the new Actyon Sports the power needed to tow to its maximum capacity of 2,300kg, as well as explore off the beaten track with consummate ease. The Actyon Sports' 2.0-Litre engine can outrun some of its competitors; the 114kW output is greater than the 2.2-Litre diesel in the Ford Ranger which produces 110kW, and is 14% and 7% more powerful than entry level 2.5-Litre turbo diesels found in the Mitsubishi Triton and Nissan Navara respectively.
At 7.3L/100km and a 75-litre tank, the new Actyon Sports 2WD Manual is capable of travelling over 1,000kms on a single tank. The redesigned engine mount optimises powertrain movement while minimising NVH, for an efficient and comfortable ride.
The new Actyon Sports has an electronically operated Variable Geometry Turbocharger (VGT) which contributes to the significant reduction in turbo lag and ensures efficiencies at high speeds.
The manual and automatic transmissions are both 6-speed which improve fuel efficiency at cruising speeds with a spread of ratios matched to the strong torque and performance of the diesel engine.
The automatic transmission comes with manual mode; which gives the Actyon Sports a sporty driving option with switches on the gearshift knob and steering wheel allowing the driver to shift gears up and down manually. Winter mode gives the driver the ability to start out or back up in second gear in slippery conditions. The 6-speed manual transmission helps to enhance fuel efficiency and handling.
With double-wishbone suspension through the front wheels and a coil spring five-link suspension system through the rear, the Actyon Sports Ute provides excellent driving stability and ride comfort when taking on rough roads and sharp turns.
A part time electronic hi/low range 4WD system allows the Actyon Sports to change modes at the switch of a button, in order to provide greater control, efficiency and stability for drivers who combat a range of conditions.
4WD High provides greater stability on unpaved roads or icy surfaces. 4WD Low provides maximum traction at low speed.
For the driver who needs a powerful, efficient vehicle, whether for work or play, the Actyon Sports Ute will deliver.
