The TRD Hilux was produced for the Australian market and saw a number of exterior, interior and mechanical upgrades over the standard SR5 Hilux. Two specifications were offered, the 4000S (Supercharged) and the 4000SL (Supercharged Luxury). The 4000SL was no cheap option, costing an impressive $65,000 in 2008 and featured a 225kw 453nm supercharged 4-Litre V6 which still offered the same fuel economy as a standard Hilux.
