This is a low km 105 chassis GXL cruiser with the factory turbo engine Toyota should have installed from the factory. It is not the 1HZ indirect engine with a turbo, but the electronically controlled 1HDFTE six-cylinder engine as was released in the independent front suspension 100 series.
The 1HDFTE is regarded by many as one of the best diesels ever made and has made the 100 series a sought after car. The conversion costs upwards $20,000 with the standard setup and has then been upgraded with improved turbo $2600, front mount intercooler and custom stainless pipe work $3500, diesel chip and tuning $1800 and 3" exhaust system $900. With these modifications the car retains factory drive ability and economy with superior performance making it ideal for all situations. The turbo builds boost earlier than standard, while making more power. With high flow injectors these can put out 250-300hp at the wheels and an easy 700-900Nm or torque.
The 105 chassis has a full floating rear axle and has the live front axle instead of the independent front suspension in the 100 series and the 200 series Landcruisers. They are comfortable to drive and can have the suspension lifted to give improved off-road capability and a more impressive stance. This can be discussed as part of the sale to allow the choice of ride height and spring choice.
