Off-road Entertainment and Education

There will plenty to entertain and inform at the show, with ‘Mount Maxxis’ leading the way.

Presented by Maxxis Tyres, Mount Maxxis is an extreme 4x4 test track where host MadMatt will tackle a 1000 cubic metre, purpose-built mountain resembling some of Australia’s toughest terrain. Showcasing tips and techniques that can have you taking your 4x4 places you never thought you could, MadMatt shares his expert knowledge on how to negotiate sticky off-road situations. You can also ride along with MadMatt as he takes on Mount Maxxis!

To experience the capability of the latest Isuzu D-MAX and MU-X, take a ride on the Isuzu UTE Iron Summit. You’ll experience a seriously steep 45-degree climb up and over a custom-built hydraulic ramp – six metres in the air!

To get yourself out of jam, or make sure you avoid it in the first place, ARMA (Australian Recreational Motorists Association) and Girls Day Out will be conducting recovery demonstrations each day, as well as sharing their tips for driving some of Australia’s best off-road trails.

Additionally, Ben Carceller from Adrenalin Off Road Centre is coming to Sydney to share his experiences driving a Unimog custom camper in the Kimberley.

Special Guests

A favourite at the National 4x4 Outdoors Show Sydney, the Outback Stage is where you can hear a yarn, ask a question and pick up a tip or two from some of the top personalities in the 4x4 and outdoor adventuring arena.  Hosted by Ricko from Australia Rediscovered, the Outback Stage will bring an abundance of extra special guests to Sydney this year, including Shaun and Jocko (4WD 24/7), Bridget (Red Dirt Diary), Tyler Thompson and many more.

For a very different experience, the crew from Black Snake Productions can get the kids (and maybe you, too!) up-close and personal with Australian wildlife. Demonstrations and valuable reptile awareness shows will be happening daily. You can even have your photo taken holding one of the friendly reptiles!

Inspiration for your Rig

A recent and very popular addition to the National 4x4 Outdoors Show Sydney has been the Show n Shine Competition. This contest sees 4x4 owners from all over the state and beyond present their vehicles for the chance to win $2,000 in prizes, plus trophies and bragging rights with their mates!

Across two categories – Terrific Tourer (displaying Sat, 14 June) and Rough & Tumble (displaying Sun, 15 June) – you’re sure to find plenty of inspiration for outfitting and upgrading your own rig. The best thing is that a lot of what you see on vehicles in the Show n Shine is likely to be found amongst the exhibitors at the show!

Fuel Up, Cool Down

There’s so much to see, do and experience at the National 4x4 Outdoors Show Sydney, you’ll need to take a break. To refuel, a great selection of food trucks will be on site, as well as the Outback Bar for a cool beverage. There will also be live music each day to relax to, kids’ entertainment and much, much more!

The 2024 National 4x4 Outdoors Show Sydney will be held at the Sydney Showground on the following dates.

Friday, 14 June – 9:00AM – 5:00PM

Saturday, 15 June – 9:00AM – 5:00PM

Sunday, 16 June – 9:00AM – 4:00PM

Sydney Showground is located at 1 Showground Rd, Sydney Olympic Park. Public transport runs to the venue and there are plenty of parking options nearby, too. (pre-booking for parking is recommended)
