Hennessey launches ‘Goliath 6x6’
The 6-wheel drive monster follows a similar template to the Velociraptor 6x6 released last year. But where that model was based on a Ford F-150 Raptor, the Goliath is based on the current (MY19) Chevrolet Silverado.
To that base, the Hennessey additions are extensive, including a second driven rear axle, custom load bed, suspension lift, wheel and tyre upgrade, LED lighting and Hennessey’s own front and rear bumpers.
The Goliath also gets more power out of the Silverado’s 5.3-litre EcoTec3 V8 engine. Producing 355hp (264kW) in standard form, Hennessey’s addition of a cold air intake and stainless steel exhaust kicks maximum power up to 450hp (335kW), but whether this upgrade also delivers any improvements over the stock Silverado 1500’s maximum torque of 383 lb/ft (519Nm) is not listed.

When Hennessey says exclusive, he means only 24 units of the Goliath 6x6 will be built.
Over the base Silverado 1500 4x4 pickup, the Goliath 6x6 upgrades include:
- 6x6 conversion with additional axle, wheels, tyres and brakes
- All new rear suspension system
- Eight-inch lift kit
- Custom 6x6 rear load bed
- ‘Goliath 6x6’ & ‘Hennessey’ graphics
- Hennessey front and rear bumpers
- 450hp engine upgrade (cold air intake and stainless steel exhaust)
- Hennessey 20-inch wheels
- 37-inch off-road tyres (Toyo R/T Open Country on the truck pictured)
- Rollbar upgrade
- LED lights
- 3 year / 36,000 mile warranty
Additional to this spec, the vehicle pictured adds ‘Goliath 6x6’ identification to the front seat headrests and features what appears to be a Brembo brake upgrade, too.
The base price for the 2019 Goliath 6x6 is US$375,000 (AU$487,500 approx. direct exchange), which includes the new Chevy Silverado truck.
Available directly from Hennessey or from selected Chevrolet dealers in North America, production of the Hennessey Goliath 6x6 is limited to just 24 units. Available on any MY19/MY20 Chev Silverado 1500, the Goliath 6x6 is also being offered to international markets.
