Goodyear provides new Jeep Cherokee Sport in national competition

Run in conjunction with retailer, Kmart Tyre & Auto Service, Goodyear delivered a new Jeep Cherokee Sport, worth $35,000, to Julius Orwa.

The 54-year-old father of three and university lecturer entered the Australia-wide promotion when he purchased four Goodyear OptiLife tyres from Kmart Tyre & Auto Service. On Wednesday, April 1, Mr. Orwa was confirmed as the winner, picking up his brand new Jeep from Kmart Tyre & Auto Service in Keilor Downs (Victoria) on Friday, April 17.

Mr. Orwa commented: "We're ecstatic and can't quite believe our luck - I actually thought it was an April Fools' Day joke when I received the phone call!

"This new car will help our family get around and provide a reliable means of travel. We're a very busy household with three kids, and it's often hard to get everyone where they need to be.

"Vehicle safety is very important to us, which was why I had Goodyear tyres fitted on my current car. It's great to know my wife and children will now travel in safety wherever we go with a brand new, larger car, which of course, also has Goodyear tyres on it!"

Thierry Villard, managing director of Goodyear in Australia, was personally on hand to present the new car to Mr. Orwa: "We wish the Orwa family the very best with their new Jeep and Goodyear tyres. We hope they enjoy many safe and enjoyable family adventures together in their new car."

The national "Win a Jeep" promotion ran for three months exclusively through Kmart Tyre & Auto Service locations. As a result of purchasing his Goodyear tyres, Mr. Orwa received a 2014 Jeep Cherokee Sport 2.4L 9A 2WD.
