Engel Smart Battery Box

Engel have come up with a better solution in the form of their Smart Battery Box, a product that offers flexible, portable 12 volt power you can easily carry from the boat to the tent, camper trailer and beyond.

Simply slot in a charged car or marine-style 12 volt battery (up to 130ah capacity), hook it up and you've instantly got power, with Anderson 50 amp, accessory 10 amp and USB 5 volt outlets, as well as Engel's own posi-fit 12 volt outlet.

The design includes a 150 inverter for running small 240 volt appliances, and there's a built-in 6 amp 12 volt to 12 volt Smart Charger, too. An optional 240 volt charger is available.

Cleverly, the Smart Battery Box also features a "Time Tracker" LCD battery management screen, which shows current battery condition, percentage of battery capacity available, number of hours till battery reaches full charge, the current stage of the charging cycle, battery type selection and set up details.
