Be involved in a 4x4 Event

First up there was a strong club presence at the National 4x4 Show, with many clubs joining forces with 4WD Victoria and Parks Victoria to present a strong and united front. This is Australia's biggest 4x4 show and this year boasted over 200 exhibitors and a strong program of arena events. We'll bring you more on that next month.

National Jeep Jamboree
Staged at Warragul's Lardner Park, from Thursday 30 September to 3rd October, this is a bi-annual event that brings Jeep drivers together from all over Australia. This 4-day event promises to be the biggest yet and has strong support from Chrysler (Jeep). There are numerous 4x4 events planned, trips on nearby 4x4 tracks, 4WD alley will feature trade displays, plus there will be children's activities. Melbourne LEISUREfest.
This outdoor event is growing in stature, with strong support from camping, caravan and associated organisations. Once again many Victorian Clubs will also have stands at the show, which promises to again be a busy time. The show is held at Sandown Racecourse from Sept. 30-3 October. Bendigo Leisurefest
Another rapidly growing show that brings the best camping and touring gear to the country, the Bendigo Leisurefest is held Friday 19 to Sunday 21st November at Bendigo Racecourse.

Range Rover 40th Anniversary
The official celebrations for the 40th anniversary of the Range Rover is happening in Melbourne, hosted by the Range Rover Club of Victoria. A number of interesting events are planned for what is shaping up to be a great 4x4 weekend. The celebrations kick off on Friday night with a cocktail party, a display of 40 years of Range Rovers on Saturday at Como Park, while Saturday night will see a gala dinner in Melbourne. Land Rover Clubs (NSW) Expo
This annual event will be held on Sunday September 26, from 9am - 4pm, at Castle Hill Showground, NSW. Sponsored by Land Rover Australia there will be a great display of Land Rovers from the very first, right through to the latest Range Rover Sport. There will be 4WD demonstrations, craft market, show and shine, and lots more. Sounds like the place to be if you have a Land Rover and live in Sydney.

2010 TLCC Willowglen 4x4 Challenge
Annual event held by the Toyota LandCruiser Club of Australia (Sydney) over the 2-3rd October on Club property near Tarago, NSW. This year's Challenge will see more than 20 teams, consisting of four vehicles per team, competing from clubs around NSW and ACT. Details are available at the Criuiser club's website.
